  1. I've lived as an expat in many different countries in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Almost every country will revoke your visa if you get involved in internal politics or criticize their government. It's nothing unusual, yet the media makes is seem like some big deal. If you're not a citizen, you are a guest. If you act rudely towards the host, don't be surprised if you're not welcome again.

A lot of other nations black list people while they are outside that nation, for remarks or actions hostile to that nation. The Philippines and Hong Kong come to mind of the top of my head. Also China and Vietnam. The EU heavily censors what people can say, if it is against their political views. EU deported almost half a million in 2023 and blocked others from entering again. So stop acting like the USA is so horrible for doing what every other nation on the planet does. This particular issue is because it was a leftist person attacking an unpopular figure. Nothing more. So the media makes a big deal about it.
