  1. The "ask him about his mom" question is a bunch of garbage. My mother was a cruel and evil person who abandoned me. I don't treat women, or anybody, like that. In fact, it made me very empathic to people's pain and I make sure I don't inflict it on others. My relationship with my mother is nobody's business, unless I care to bring it up.

  2. Stay away from single mothers. Don't even date them. The baby's daddy should be raising the children, supporting the children, spending time with the children, paying for the babysitter, etc. If she chose that guy poorly, it's not your responsibility to fix it. I don't speak from personal feelings, I speak from personal experience. It never, never, NEVER ends well. I very much understand the male desire to be the rescuer, but it WON'T work. Also, you run the big risk of getting attached to the kids, even loving them, and then having her pick up and leave whenever she wants and you'll never see them again. Nice generalization about men not being able cook or clean up after themselves. I'm a better cook and keep a better house that 75% of the women I've known.
