  1. Just because women overseas are more receptive or more traditional ... that doesn't mean you can forego all common sense in vetting them. I knew my Asian wife five years before we married. She is a country girl, not city. If you pick up city bar girls, expect to get the loyalty of a bar girl. Also, never let your beer or drink leave your hand. It's uncommon, but guys do get roofied in SE Asia in the cities.

  2. @karamlevi  It's not 100% for sure, people change... a lot. I've seen the same ... women bailing after 10, 20 or 30 years and taking the man to the cleaners. But it's not irrelevant in spotting people who are already bad actors. Also helps not to get married anywhere that has divorce laws biased against the man (i.e. most of the West). Still ... no guarantees ... ever.
