It is because so many Americans are arrogant, entitled douchebags who confuse being born into luxury with being wise ... and then telling the rest of the world how they should live their lives with zero experience or wisdom on how to actually do so. Extra points for giving advice that is completely impractical and unworkable. Another extra point for supporting and implementing bad policies that negatively affect the rest of the world, then crowing about how virtuous it is. They are not interested in anything going on in other countries. So true. Most Americans cannot even find other countries on the world map. Many cannot even find the USA on the world map. However they will tell you exactly how you're living your life wrong and how to be virtuous like them. I lived in Germany as an American in the 70s and 80s, and traveled much of Europe. Americans were loved and admired there by most people back then.
