My ex is 5'4" and 240 lbs. She's 18 years younger than me. I'm still at the same weight I was in my 20s in the Army. I'm 60 right now and I get more prospects for action than ever. I can afford to be very picky and won't even have a friendship with anyone who is a liability. My best friend's mother is a grandma and great-grandma. She is definitely not invisible in her 80s. She has scores of loving, happy and attentive grandkids and great-grandkids all around her daily. It has been like that for her for decades. But I know, that's not empowering. If what you derive meaning from loses its meaning after a certain age, then maybe it never had any meaning in the first place. Also, inappropriate content is appropriate when it pushes the approved ideology.

@minipekka-b7n Not a typo. Sadly, for her. Not for me, since she is gone. She weighed 113 lbs when I met her.

Whatever happened to scholarships? Yeah, university wasn't as expensive when I attended, but my parents were poverty level immigrants. I funded it all myself through scholarships, work and military. Both bachelors and masters in hard science degrees that have been highly employable my entire life. Have things changed that much?

@rebeccamiller9420 It was over roughly 12-18 months. She became a lesbian (yeah, I'm that bad) and joined a cult, or joined a cult and then became a lesbian. Not sure of the exact sequence. No joke. I'm not sure of the dietary or physical details either. Never saw her again, but one of my step kids she dragged into the cult who later escaped told me about it. Some YouTube videos that later surfaced confirmed a huge weight gain.
