  1. I was there 6 weeks ago. Cebu and Bohol. Everything was great. I got the giggling and head turning in the Cebu City malls, and I'm north of 60. Meeting women was no problem at all. I cannot compare to past years, but still paradise compared to the USA. I agree with Bo and the others that the primary reason to expatriate should be economic. That is one of my big reasons ... the other being the traditional culture and the nice weather. ... and yeah, you still need to put in the work. I'm still at the same weight I was in my 20s as an Army captain. I work out, eat well, and don't over indulge. Something I've heard from a lot of Filipinas is that they want a Western man's genes for their children. Physical appearance does play into that. You have to have more than your Western wallet ... and isn't that what men want anyway? To be appreciated for something beyond money? There is a BIG difference between the cities and the provinces. If you want a true, traditional woman ... go to the provinces. Also, don't bring her back to the West. Why uproot a beautiful flower and replant it in toxic soil. I did love not hearing anything about Western politics while living over there. Nobody knows or cares about Trump/Biden, Republicans/Democrats, border crisis, "rights" of protected groups, gun control, woke Disney films, oil drilling, blah, blah, blah. Cannot wait to be back there.
