  1. Having dated, and even been married to (past tense) a single mother, I strongly agree. Do NOT get involved with a single mother. It is a losing proposition almost 100% of the time. You will be used as a life support system for a wallet. The difference between parental authority over your own child and another man's child is like night and day. The mother will say, "I will handle this" when the kid misbehaves, or later engages in criminal activity ...except she never does "handle" it. You get stuck with the bill. Rinse and repeat for a higher bill next time. Don't do it.
