  1. Every time you leave a job, your vacation bumps back town to the starting rate of one week or less. So, over half of your career, you will probably be down at the bottom in terms of vacation time. Or, you can work at a company with "unlimited" PTO ... which caps at 2 weeks or less (not very unlimited) and is at the discretion of your boss whether or not you can take it when you want.
