Cops do more than just lie to you, they lie to others during the course of the investigation to try to build evidence against you. I was falsely accused years ago (charges dismissed). During their investigation, cops told my family and friends that I had a long history of arrests and convictions for the crime in question. They promoted these lies in the media as well. In reality, my biggest crime ever had been a speeding ticket. Many friends and my entire family cut me off completely because they believed the cops that I was a shadow criminal living double life. Not even an apology after I was cleared, much less any restitution. It was so bad that I moved to the other side of the country and changed my name afterwards. Cops are nothing more than "lawful" evil.
