  2. Your mind control explanation is spot on. Years ago, I was married to a woman later diagnosed as a psychopath. She very effectively manipulated and controlled me through mind control, without me even knowing it. Mind control is insidious because, unlike brainwashing, the victim thinks they are making their own decisions and choices ... when really it is the puppet master. Deconstructing the train wreck of my psychopath ex, taught me about mind control and I began seeing it in various places, most notably at my church ... which I discovered was almost a cult. Yes, people are not at fault for being manipulated ...   4. You can see first hand what Rob is talking about here. Google the failed Los Angeles "road diet." Google manipulates the search results to return only positive reviews of it, many of them years old before the failure became apparent. The failures are buried on pages farther down.
