  3. I'm sooooo glad I live outside the West where there is no DEI. Years of that in Corporate Amerika was enough for me. At my last company, a leading US battery distributor, the CTO called a department meeting and pressured all white men to stand up and confess their inherent racism and misogyny. He went first. I refused. I was marginalized, side lined and administratively harassed by the all female HR team after that. I took an early retirement. One of the best moves I ever made.

  8. When I studied for my computer science masters back in 1993, I was able to get a $1,000 scholarship for a 4.0 average. Conversely, they were giving women $14,000 fellowships for having a 2.0 average ... never mind that the masters degree program had a minimum GPA of 3.0 (also waived for them).

  35. The trailer is hilarious. I don't like long hours at high intensity, but Musk is one of the few corporate leaders who is actually up front with how it's going to be. At least you can prepare a little. Every death march I've ever been in, was sprung on me at the last minute. When I was in my 20s or 30s, I might have gone for it, depending on the potential reward or technology involved.
