  1. I've lived as an expat in many different countries in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Almost every country will revoke your visa if you get involved in internal politics or criticize their government. It's nothing unusual, yet the media makes is seem like some big deal. If you're not a citizen, you are a guest. If you act rudely towards the host, don't be surprised if you're not welcome again. The host doesn't owe you an explanation.
