  4. It's called non-alignment. India was a leading partner of this movement and prevented itself and many other countries from being drawn into all-out wars between the power blocs during the cold war. It has still maintained that policy, having good economic relations with China, but socially and politically we are at odds with them. In fact, now after 2020 skirmishes we feel backstabbed by China. I don't think Indians are going to trust China anytime soon.
