  4. Sigh. Trump did deliver for Americans first time around. What British observers don't realise is that in the USA 80% of the middle class are invested in the stock markets (primarily the S&P500). So Trump tax cuts and initial deregulation did boost their investments. Trump lost second term because electorate blamed him for the ensuing economic chaos from Covid. If not for Covid he'd have won second term. Electorate then blame Biden for the Covid inflationary impact, which compared to Trump era made Trump look preferable again. Fact of life, electorate are fickle, in every country.
