  1. Empathy "models" could be developed that could meet the needs of human to be convinced that an AI is demonstrating empathy. Remember it's humans that need to experience empathy, and if they can be "tricked" into it, that may well be good enough for an AI to replace people in certain roles, for example, a customer complaints department.

In an ideal world Corbyn would win the leadership.  But we don't live in an ideal world.  We live in a world full of media worshiping zealots like Guru-Murthy, so Corbyn probably doesn't stand a chance.  The media will turn on him and drag him down because he is just too sensible and too close to representing ordinary party members' views. Instead, I fear Burnham will win, mainly by smiling a lot and adjusting his views to align with those who will vote for him.

  13. This "Hamas" is really ex-ISIS. I often wonder why Israel simply doesn't take all of Gaza (it's only 7 miles by 32 miles). (I sympathise with the innocent Palestinians. But I often wonder if it would be much better if they did a land swap for an equivalent amount of land attached to the West Bank). Yes, I know Israel is the occupier and and US and UK stole the land in the first place, but we are where we are today, and something needs to be done to solve the problem.
