  1. "We remove the censorship" - The models are not censored (I know I've tested locally). The censorship occurs in the hosted app's interface to the model. (Personally I don't care about my queries going to China. Also I don't need to know about Tianenmen Square from an AI, I can read books.)

  2. TikTok's appeal is that it gives you MORE of what you like (which is why it's so popular). Facebook/Insta try to push content to you that you don't necessarily like as Meta's goal is to market and advertise beyond your interests. Users don't want things they are not interested in. Don't care that my data goes to China. I don't trust the US tech majors either. ByteDance (TikTok) is not going to sell the algorithm. A US version of TikTok would become just another Facebook/Insta.
