Oh, there's so many....

@Lauren_210 actually, Pixar only wins Best Animated Short when it doesn't win Best Animated Feature. Coco won, but Lou lost to Dear Basketball.

@margarethmichelina5146 ironically, Lord and Miller had already worked at Sony before Spider-Verse.

2:56 And that's why I prefer the Annies over the Oscars.

And what's wrong with How To Train Your Dragon?
2
@chargerjake73 actually, it's in development hell because the director abandoned it to make something that never got made.

I would say “Shut up, Meg," but I can't argue with you.
2
It only took them sixteen months to redeem themselves.

Which Pixar sequel are you talking about?
1
@ma3mc3mu-X it wasn't on the list. And they're going back to making original movies. Did you not see the trailers for Onward?

@ma3mc3mu-X you know what your problem is? You never think positive. Look at all the good things that happened. And not just to DreamWorks, but to other studios that are way more underrated.

@ma3mc3mu-X look at what happened to everyone else. Laika won a Golden Globe for Missing Link in a category dominated by sequels and a remake. Netflix originals Klaus and I Lost My Body sweeped the Annie Awards, some of their DreamWorks shows won a couple in the TV categories, and the holiday special How To Train Your Dragon: Homecoming took home Best Special Production. Sony Animation, they hardly need an introduction, they won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature after years of mediocrity (and some atrocity), and won Best Animated Short the following year! Disney and Pixar may get more attention because they've been around the longest, but they don't win every battle. And I'm upset that the Oscar went to Toy Story 4, but I don't blame the people who work at Pixar for the Academy being biased. (Although I am mad at Bob Iger and Alan Horne for their desire for dominance.)

Fantastic Mr Fox was a financial flop, and Pixar's focusing more on original films at the moment. (Thank goodness.)

Not as many votes?

Eh.

Reviews were mostly mixed.
1
Isle of Dogs was at the bottom. Not an anime.
1
Well, at least it won seven Annie Awards. I prefer them over the Oscars, because they're not all about glitz and glam... and they're not too political.

What would you put?
