  1. The price rise is due to lack of supply not because of the traded values of a resource. You can't blame the energy companies that they have to raise prices to prevent a blackout, it's not their fault European countries became dependent on Russia and are now competing with the UK for resources to stay alive. What we are seeing is a rebalance of the price of natural gas and either consumers will need to change their lifestyle or more supply will need to reach the market.
