Americans are far too individualistic to have a French Revolution which was a communal cleansing of opposing ideas that shared space with other view points. Also if you know French people even today if you step on their toes they get NASTY real aggressive, they might not be nationalistic, patriotic to their country or military world view but they if you oppose their world view it gets ugly. Some Americans for sure will also turn nasty but I think it is overall an incredibly small minority and you can see that from the riots in the 1960s over Vietnam a small minority went violent but not against fellow Americans but against authorities which as usual fizzled out and this repeats every few years the Occupy Wallstreet in 2008 and BLM in 2021 and so on.

For civil war you need clear sides and a simple question. Look at the Civil war it was Slavery Yes or No simple right? Sure the South had other issues but one item took over the debate which was Slavery and that made it very easy to pick a side down a clear line. Today in 2023 there is no such clear lines anywhere in the USA public discourse you have 10000 different topics with 10000 different opinions and people disagree with their fellow America who shares the same view as much as with the opposing view if not much more so. With the lack of clear divide it's all just public discourse and that's not going to lead to anything let alone civil war.

That is a big giant massive huge misconception that Gold Standard does not lead to Inflation. The USA inflated 100% between the 1920s to 1970 as the price of Gold was FIXED to the Dollar and it increased from $20 to $40 in that time span. Also in addition, Gold standards are always Fractional. People forget it, Gold standards are FRACTIONAL. The US never ever had enough gold on a 1-1 basis with the Dollar and neither did other gold standards which is why they are pretty much phony. Yes there I said it, Gold standard is PHONY. Gold price is a fixed price set by the Govnemrent allowing for inflation at the press of a button and in addition the Gold in reserve is fractional. I dare say it's easier to inflated with a gold standard than Fiat alone!!!

You cannot have a civil war when 50% of Texas is Democrat lol. The funny thing is that California could turn Republican very fast as the majority is Hispanic which value family structure and are very conservative fiscally as well. The only reason Hispanics vote Democrat is because of the migration and border issue if those issues were to be solved then California would turn RED whole Texas will soon turn BLUE. The world we live in is the OPPOSITE of Orwell instead of the people trusting the Government 100% we are in a situation where the people and Government are heading to trusting each other at 0% which is even MORE dangerous than what Orwell warned of. Most countries in the world are around 50% the middle mark like in Asia even China, Russia, Europe, Middle east but in America we are swinging in the wrong direction to the 0% mark which is the TOTAL opposite if what Orwell warned of. Fascism is not a common ideology in Germany or Japan so I would say it was defeated both militarily and ideologically as the remaining Fascists in Europe fell on their own accord, Spain for example and South America. Some people in Germany do see Fascism favorably but no different than people in Russia see Communism favorably, however they are a minority.

The West has proven on 9/11 that it will stand up and put down all differences to fight a common enemy that targets western way of life and values. I think you are HIGHLY underrating the power of a threat on western societies and culture. Look at Europe in the Ukraine war, I did not see anti war protests. Even Germany went back to mining coal again as green agenda took a back seat. The USA had a lot of civil unrest in the 1960s and 70s many point ot the Vietnam war but it was actually that baby boomers no longer wanted to work in factories and that lead to the inflation spikes in the 1980s as young Americans chose not to work at all and take drugs and protest rather than work and we see that today again with Occupy Wallstreet in 2010 and BLM in 2021 as young Americans want a change once again. Its not going to lead to civil war of course just a shift in the economy like it has done over and over again.

The Roman Empire provided the population in the empire good reason to continue to support the system, it provided infrastructure, a unified language, trade links and routes, a system of standards, so many aspects that various peoples continued to benefit from. This is pretty similar to the EU what keep the European Union together is the benefits outweigh the negatives. Some people make a connection between the USA and Rome but they are total opposites, the USA destroyed 3 maybe 4 empires, British, French, Japanese Empires were torn down and also the end of the USSR which I see as an Empire. The USA has always advocated and fought for self determination which will not allow another empire to rise. While the USA does set global economic foundation it is only a minor benefit to the USA and it is not an Empire that is for sure, the USA does not control global trade which 50% of it is NOT in USD for example and with so many nations having strong armies no single power can overwhelm the world order as enough nations will stand up and defend it. Today's world order is one dominated by shared interest rather than any single nation. The USA is not Rome, it is the Anti-Rome. The USA is the hordes coming to take down any empire that even thinks of coming to be, Putin wants a new Russian Empire, hell no, not on the USA's watch. China would love to expand a bit, just a little, hell no, not going to happen. Saddam thought he could, no he could not. USA is the Anti-Rome.

The Communists and Marists are urban city dwellers who have college education and se themselves a superior to all other parts of society. In order to take power they went after a part of society which they saw as the bottom class and who had wealth and power, they called them KULAKS which are farm owners and land owners working in agriculture. The problem? That was the food suppler and as they took over the land ownership the so called KULAKS had no more incentive to work their land as it was not theirs and so food production collapsed. A human being needs reason to work hard other than to survive they need incentive to personally strive for success and farmers don't want to rise up ranks, they don't want to become higher tier tanking of some sort they just want to own their land, it's really that simple and the Marxist and Communists did not figure it out and lead to massive FAMINES when millions of city dwellers, the communists and Marxists themselves starved to death. Eventually Stalin rose to power who just out wright distributed city dwellers to the farm land to supervise the farmers in Ukraine which lead to the farmers starving and dying in the millions mostly in Ukraine this event is called the HOLODOMOR. The same events and outcomes took place in China under MAO but on a much larger scale there have been accounts from Communist Party members who later exposed the situation to the world. They even have written books about it.

The claim that the 80% or the majority of Dollars were printed during COVID is a total fiction. It is not true at all. What went up during COVID was what is called M2 which is M0+M1 which is various forms of money but in the case of COVID that is BANK ACCOUTNS. Why? Well... #1 people cashed out of Crypto/stocks out of fear and moved in to their bank accounts #2 people got stimulus checks deposited in to their bank accounts. #3 people were not going out of the house or buying high dollar goods like cars so cash was pilling up fast in their bank accounts. Since Americans spend most of their monthly income the bank accounts or that part of M2 is what exploded up but that does not mean that the Treasury printed 80% of money in circulation just that Americans increased their bank accounts dramatically but for obvious reasons. Liquidity in the USA is provided by the BANKS so IF you want to see total liquidity in the US economy you need to look at what is called "SLOOS REPORT" not M2 money supply.

Keep in mind that Italy is not 1 people, the people of Po Valley are totally different from people of Sicily and different form people of Rome and people of Venice and Naples, Italy is a group of cultures and people who are very different from each other and Italy as a single country only came to be around 1861 under Napoleon. So Italy is overall a younger country, younger than USA for example.

Well that is the world we live in, if you make up your own view of history or narrative you just end up turning in to North Korea as you simply look out of the window and you see totally different history and reality so you have to close up shop and be self-contained and alone in the world to make your view of history work. I have to say that's a fucking bad way to do it. Becoming a hermit just to believe your own view is a sad reality to create. The best is to open up the world as it is as wide as possible, be exposed to reality for all its faults and strengths and find a path you can see eye to eye with from that chaos and noise. A person who is unhappy with life will not be a patriot or conservative or main stream Liberal or Progressive and tends to fall in to the realm of Anarchists which do harm to society and themselves rather than impact the Government in anyway as it will ALWAYS bounce right back. So the alternative option is Libertarianism and that has worked wonders for a lot of people. It gives you an outlet for frustration, a framework that avoid getting in to trouble and harming others and society and an ideological and mental clarity to navigate the world with. I think it puts people at peace with themselves and the world. That is my personal way to do it.

The Revolution in Russia was between the land owners, the Tsar and their power base VS and the city urban dwellers, The French Revolution, the same. Also the American civil war, again was a struggle between Land Owners, who farmed their land with Slaves in the South VS the Urban, advanced, developed North. It is always the same, Urban vs rural. Republicans and Democrats are not the factions that could EVER lead to civil war in the USA becasue both are a mixture of land owners AND urban dwellers. Republicans and Democrats are not factions that can EVER have a civil war, that is a total and utter Phantom. What would lead to Civil war in the USA? It would be the people who are not benefiting from the current order, 62% of Americans of working age are actually working, the 38% of Americans who are not working, that's who would be willing to fight a civil war. They are not Republicans OR Democrats they are people left behind by globalization and they would demand an end to it. They rally behind Trump today, but he is no savior he is full of cheap slogans and false promises becasue Trump can't give them work and a better future. No one can. So they will turn against the Republicans just as much as the Democrats, this is not in the confined of the political order as it stands today.

@paulvmarks US National debt is a fucking joke, the USA has low tax system I pay 15% tax if I was in Europe it would be at least 30% tax on the low end to as much as 37% tax I think in France so the USA dose not have a debt problem it has a low tax system. So if the USA doubled the tax rate and 2024 I pay 30% tax like in Europe oooooohhhhhhh now the USA will make double the income so instead of 5 trillion you get 10 trillion now you got 5 trillion extra and can pay off the national debt in hmmmmm 6 years. So you see? The US debt means nothing.

I am sorry but you are wrong. The USA only will invade a country where the total majority of the population clearly would support an American invasion. Iraqi people were lead by Saddam and his men who were members of the MINOIRTY Ba'athist sect of Islam. The population was ruled against their will which is why they joined and handed out flowers to US troops. The USA invasion of Iraq only lead to 179 death of American solders and most were from friendly fire and illness. A country the size of Ukraine, falling in weeks with under 200 lost American troops..... That is how America rolls BABY!!!! American death toll in Afghanistan in the last 7 years was UNDER 100 lost US solders. UNDER 100, the US army was not doing anything in Afghanistan which is why Taliban won. The US was just operating training, the airfield and most important I assume some intelligence operations. The USA will only invade if the population overwhelming majority will support the American invasion and turn against the leadership. Iran, is not one of those countries so the USA will NEVER invade Iran.

The USA cannot have a civil war because society does not have any single topic or subject that splits it along clear lines. The issue of Slavery was Yes and No. Today there is no such simple and straight up clear issues that divide the USA it does not exist. Issues with Trump and Biden are within the framework of Democracy and so have a platform for discourse. The USA lacks any clear dividing lines today then ever before in US history with states like Texas might turn Democrat in a few years while states like California may turn Republican thanks to traditionalist Hispanics that once immigration issues are finally solved will easily turn Republican for family and religious values.

The Baby Boomers used the hippie and anti war movement as a way to break from their responsibilities, they gave up on working in factories and industry leading to the massive inflation spike of the 1970s-1980s (similar to Chinese youth today with Laying Flat movement) due to this lack of manpower the entire US system broke due to their activities. The Arab oil embargo in 1970s brought the calamity to hit a wall and US massive inflation spile crushed the system. This lead to outsourcing of industry while baby boomers ran to California to start their run at entertainment, Technology or NYC for Finance. Today the US economy main engine is the same, Tech and Finance but when you combine these 2 you only get around 14% of the working population and so now you also see why middle class is so distorted in America is that the middle class engine is a small piece of the population that generates the demand and wealth that the rest need to feed off, construction, renovation, government, professional servers, logistics, retail, food, are all just trickle down from Tech and Finance workers. The middle class bracket moved way high up today you need like 130,000 a year to really be middle class and both working parents so over 200,000 a year in a place like California or DC or NY or WA or OR or UT or CO or NJ, MA or NC or FL, however most people who think they are middle class ARE NOT. If you don't work in Tech or Finance you are not middle class you are living off of their trickle down impact. So how do we fix this? We cut off trade with China, we raise the price of goods leading to manufacturing and industry boom here in the US away from China. We turn the table upside down, we now have high inflation, high interest rates and home values crash. The table turns over. The wealth goes to manufacturing and industry while Tech and Finance consolidate and solidify and investment money pours in to mining, logistics, infrastructure, back to the 1960s and going backwards from there, up the mountain we go.

Manufacturing in the USA was forced out due to environmental laws, wage demands and much of this was due the public outcry demanding such changes. The current Democrat government has forced wages to rise from $10 or so to $15 this will simply force companies to reduce labor by sending it to other countries or automate it like automated grocery checkout, food ordering using phones and so on. Raising wages too far like this will just continue to create a class of people who cannot find work and will be forced further in to crime, drugs, desperation, depression and a very bad cycle continues. The USA cannot bring back manufacturing without lowering wages, removing environmental laws, eliminating unions which for the most part do not exist in countries like China. All while the USA is letting in unskilled immigration from South America will only make the issue worse without having an industry to require such manpower other than agriculture which is becoming more and more automated.

That's where WW3 is between Russia and China. Since China needs to wait for the fall of Putin which might take 10 years in the mean time they are trying to win over Taiwan by threatening it with an invasion in the hopes of Taiwan giving up and that might happen but so far China's candidate for leader of Taiwan only has 25% of the vote but it keeps rising.

States like Texas are about to turn Democrat while states like California will turn Republican once immigration issues are finally solved and Hispanics can now vote for Republicans as they share strong Christian values ad family values and only vote Democrat today because of immigration issues, once that is solved California turns RED but by then Texas will be BLUE. The USA is highly integrated you can have democrat voters in rural areas and large pockets of Republicans in major cities the country is more intermingled and mixed then ever before in history and the USA lacks any single clear dividing topic like Slavery which was a YES or NO, that dose not exist today, instead we have complicated topics with 1000 different views so no clear dividing lines anywhere.
