  1. It's not about Europe building a large army but about the issue of making sure Western Europe will be committed to defending Eastern Europe. It's one thing to build an army but a totally different thing to actually be able to declare war on Russia. NATO forces on Western Europe to defend Eastern Europe an the USA makes sure that is the case. Without the USA the risk is that Western Europe will sacrifice Eastern Europe to appease Russia.

  2. Germany is scared of instigating emotions in Russia which leads to threats of nuclear war and there is a moral issue here. WW2 is for sure in the mentality of Russian leadership and military so there is a problem here. The problem is that if Germany hands the military decision making to France then they tend to avoid conflict. And so the end result is that Eastern Europe in case of war with Russia would be abandoned or at the very least lead to low effort intervention by Western Europe in the theory of avoiding nuclear war. NATO bounds by force the west to the east, in makes sure that without any hesitation western Europe will be automatically at war with Russia in case of Russian action against Eastern Europe.

  3. This video has a strange conspiracy that the USA has an agenda to make sure it has influence over Europe which is absolute nonsense. You invented a conspiracy instead of understanding that the USA's concern was making sure that Western Europe will Defend, in case of War with Russia, Eastern Europe. NATO bounds the West to the East, an EU army moves that decision in to the halls of French political elite or the dominating powers over Western Europe which tend to side against any action as you can see Macron's hours long meetings with Putin before the war that lead to nothing but falling in to a Russian trap. You can build the world's largest army under an EU banner and with the USA fully leaving Europe, but unless France is willing to go to war with Russia directly without hesitation to defend Eastern Europe this army is worthless, it is window dressing. France needs to be able to declare war on Russia and have a system that will prevent hesitation and lead to automatic defense of any Eastern European country. Unless western Europe and France can be beyond 100% committed to war with Russia in the defense of Eastern Europe than what is the value of a European army?
