The reason people move to the suburbs is to get away from other people, white flight, privacy, isolation, individualism, security, if you bring the city to the suburbs what do you think will happen? People with resources will move even further away. You will simply split people by their wealth. The wealthy will hide in fancier suburbs with walls around their house like in Brazil and the rest will be urbanized which does not solve the problem with the sense of safety. Do NOT urbanize the suburbs UNLESS you can solve the safety and security issues in Americans society 100%, it cannot be best effort 50-50, it has to be 100% which is impossible. Anyone who knows anything about security or crime is that any effort to fight it is best effort ONLY, there is no 100% security and so people will want privacy from others.
