@lemonade4181 The USA is around 3 times larger than India so I think you need to look at a world map.... The thing is that in India which I have been to you can see people working metal in their back yard, melting steel and making tools one house after the other. You do not often have people metal working in the USA in the back yard, yes some people do it as a hobby but very few as a business but that is how it is in India. You can literally see smoke rising behind houses and I can promise you this is not on any list there is no way to measure how much India is polluting the world. You see people burning trash in piles, melting plastic and metal and it is just everywhere. You can drive 1 hour and nothing but smoke, to say the USA pollutes more than India is just not true. Modern cars using Catalytic converters remove most pollutants and with electric cars that too will go away soon. The USA has standards like the natural gas furnace in my house for heating is 98% efficient and most of the unburnt fuel is actually comes out mixed with water so it is not going in the air. Overall I have traveled all over the USA and you almost never see smoke or pollution unless there is a wildfire.

@chairmanofrussia Huston is a much newer growth overall. LA started to grow at the end of the wild west era in the late 1800s and has never stopped growing, textiles, film, manufacturing even though LA never really had tech companies they are starting to discover it since 2010 but still mostly in the suburbs like Irvine CA.
