Japan is very conservative country a bit like the USA in the 1950s, people expect things to go a certain way and will fight to keep it that way even if it means low productivity and shrinking way of life to keep things conservative. Until either the younger population breaks out of their shell and forces change or the elderly population reduces it's numbers in the future and relent Political power to younger population which will break the loop of conservative thinking in Japan.

The US Army is just one of the 6 branches of the Pentagon but itself is very different than the other branches by focusing on scale and numbers as it can easily grow in to millions and millions of solders so it needs to equipment and scale more than any tech advantage. The other 5 branches are much more focused on quality and advancements in technology like Navy and Air Force and Coast Guard but Marines I am not sure they are kind of in the middle, they also can increase in solder count to the hundreds of thousands but they do have more advanced capabilities on almost every count so not sure, I guess the sit in the middle.

Well the delegates represent their community and most were chosen for Biden + Harris so her name is on it so it makes perfect sense that it defaults to Harris. Pretty simple really. it is 100% done deal.

@diegomorata2885 USA left Afghanistan in 2014 after Osama was captured there were only like 800 Americans in Afghanistan at the end and they were only doing training of Afghan army. Anyway, Russia lost 50% of all weapons, armor, 100,00 dead solders and what is the result? Capture of a small piece of eastern Ukraine? Terrible outcome for Russian army. It used up 50% of everything the Soviets took 80 years to build up. That will never come back.

We all know that the EU is going to require all members to use the EURO sooner or later and the UK was simply never going to agree to swatch to the EURO so Brexit was inevitable. It was either the UK left or they would be kicked out of the EU eventually. It is delusional to think the EU can function without all members using the EURO.

@Superpooper-2020 That is how investment works. American companies built modern China, foreign investment is China's foundation. Kicking them does not make life better in China and will only cause the world to split apart away from China which will send China back down the economic ladder for a long time to come just when the people of China are starting to grow older. The internal consumption of China is based on debts which cannot go on forever so what are you left with? Exports and foreign investment. If you kick those out as well then China is not left with much... Back to working farms?

if China takes control over Taiwan, they will split the opposition forces in half, Korea, Hawaii/USA, Canada, will be stuck North of Taiwan, and the rest of Asia will be south of Taiwan. China will split the opposition forces in two and disconnect them. This is why China wants Taiwan so much, not because of old maps saying it was once part of China or that the nationalist forces control Taiwan but because taking over Taiwan means regional total power. The problem for the future is that China will play dirty, they will threaten to cut all trade with countries that support Taiwan and try and break the alliance against China in Asia using economic war and then offering a way out of bad economic situations by joining the Chinese side and remove support for Taiwan, this is what China did in Sri Lanka but other big countries in Asia are the main goal. As long as the people of countries like Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam support Taiwan then governments cannot fall for China's tricks but China will try very hard to take control perhaps by causing economic problems, social fights, chaos, even assassination of leaders.

@Life_is_miraculus You are right Russia lost 50% of their army equipment that took the Soviets like 80 years to build that stockpile so there is no chance Russia can recover from that at least not for like 20 years by then Russian population will be like 70 million and Europe will be like 800 million so just end of the ropes for Russia. They might try something with NATO but would get crushed to dust.

What TRUMP was commenting on was that France and Germany war targeting American industry like Airbus against Boeing making the relationship unfair for the USA, a risk of confrontation with Russia, heavy military spending on American tax payers and American companies being attacked by European governments and companies, so pretty much a lose-lose-lose situation in dealing with France and Germany. The positive for the USA would be maintaining influence and supporting allies in eastern and central Europe.

Wow this comment thread is so stupid. State issues are handled locally by each state so California will handle their own issues locally, either raise taxes or reduce Pensions or increase age of retirement, whatever they need to do. However keep in mind that California GDP is around 3 trillion a year and the Pension liability is 1 trillion but that is over a very long time like by 2035 or so which comes out to around what? 40 billion per year? California pays that much on all kinds of crazy projects that no one asks for anyway so it isn't something they can't fix. Keep in mind that people in France pay much higher taxes then even California so there is always room to raise taxes it is just very unpopular to do so here in the USA.

China's Belt and Road is only useful as long as the world is in peace and so China has a conflict with itself here, if China wants a peaceful world why is it kicking out of their country western companies to become self sufficient which is a step needed in preparation for war yet on the other hand the Belt and Road is mainly a method to provide China more resources to produce goods for the world, as such this need for resources will evaporate in case of war meaning that it is a waste of China's resources and money for no benefit. Clearly China is building belt and road for peacetime that we are in now yet at the same time China is positioning for war with their internal economy, so which is it? I think what we see here is China in the crossroads and the world will have to see which direction they choose to go by. In the mean time the west needs to prepare for the worst with a much more diversified manufacturing landscape and regionalization as well.

I am conservative in the USA and have voted for Republicans since 1998 lol but not 2024, I am for the first time switching sides to support Ukraine I am going to vote for Biden. I think you will be surprised by the outcome of the November elections there have to be many many Americans like me who are right wing but strongly support Ukraine and unless Trump changes totally and becomes pro Ukraine and his clowns in Congress pass the funding bill, unless he does that, I will be voting for Biden 100%.

The USA spent 5 trillion on COVID like it was nothing but only has given Ukraine LESS THEN 1% of that. Relax we have the money, the USA has one of the lowest taxes in the world and can and will create more Treasury paper as the world needs it to operate. That is the Beauty of the USA we do not actually have debt, we create TREASURY paper which the world economy needs anyway so there is really no limit on money it's just a political game. The USA national debt is meaningless because the world needs to buy more and more of it as the global monetary system expands over time. So might as well use the money for things like helping Ukraine and investing in American infrastructure both things that Biden is doing and even though I am Republican I strongly support his actions which is why I plan to actually vote for him in November.

Putin has stolen the Russian peoples profit from Oil and Gas for 25 years, every dollar in that 300 billion is stolen from the Russian people. It is stolen money in the first place. The west should sell the paper and use it to provide Ukraine with weapons, that is the best usage of the paper.

Not true, if Ukraine falls to Russian army then China will then invade Taiwan. So to stop the Taiwan invasion we need to help Ukraine win against Russia, simple as that. Ukraine first.

@Bella123funny Well the Russian economy was able to hold for a few months but it's end is coming soon. Putin was using 25 years worth of stolen Oil and Gas money to keep the war going but he only has a few months left. Once that time is over we will see either very bad conditions in the Russian economy or the war will come to a stop. Either way there is only a few months left.

The Communist Party of China will NEVER invade Taiwan as if they do that the Communist Party will be removed from power if the people of China suffer the outcome of a Taiwan invasion which is a total collapse of all trade with the west which means a collapse of the Chinese economy, So no, China will NEVER invade Taiwan. If you want China to invade Taiwan you need to replace the Communist Party with a more nationalist hardline party. You are more right wing and hardline than the CPC so if you want to make that be reality you need to replace the Communist Party FIRST, after that you can invade Taiwan.

The problem facing India is that China does not have a democratic system to worry about so they can do as they please with no internal consequences. The positive side for India is that they are not alone Vietnam, Thailand, Japan, Taiwan so many other countries are in the same situation so they need to work together like countries in Europe with EU to create a strong counter-China economic, political and military zone. Will that happen? It all depends on India and for now, Indian is not very active in doing this so it is hard to tell.
