That is outcome of writers that want to glorify the Soviet Army however they possibly would have gotten to Berlin anyway but maybe a year later which means the Allies would have taken most or all of Germany instead of the Soviets which would have been a humiliation for the Soviet Army and hard to know what that would have meant for the cold war. Maybe they would have been much more aggressive during the cold war? No idea.

  3.  @waynesilva9157  Oh trust me, No one in the USA is looking for credit of events that occurred 80 years ago. Americans do not think like that at all in fact if you go in to the right wing in the USA you will find Donald Trump and his supports who are isolationists or Libertarians who are anti authority or on the left Liberals and Progressive who are full of self-criticize and self-hate so there is just no one in the USA that looks to take credit for some events in world history that just does not exist in American culture. Nationalism for example simply does not exist in the USA but even Hitler himself noted that and realized the USA was so different than any other country which why Hitler had hoped the USA would actually side with Germany at least at one point due to its opposition to the British Empire and the USA's very different culture than Europe which is still the case today.
