  1. Except that Germany did not exist until the defeat of Napoleon III and the unifications of Germany in 1871. Germany is a pretty new country or idea. Germanic people were mostly tribal living in small villages under various rulers and houses. Both England and Germany unified their existing lands and people but very different periods of time in history. Just an interesting note.
