  1. The German army had such tunnel vision around Stalingrad that it went blind. They poured in the entire army without any real staging, just a few depots, logistics and communication hubs which the command fell back to in the early retreat. This is simply not how you win a war and this was going on for months so it s not like they had reached Stalingrad they had months to build regional control, they were so stead fast on moving forward they lose control of the area of operations.

  2. Stalingrad proves that the Wehrmacht was fully engulfed in Nazism and was indeed a culprit to the psyche of a false destiny. Instead of accepting the opponents success and dealing with a changing strategy on the ground, the Wehrmacht thought that they were Superior and so given time or resources would defeat the Soviets eventually. I think the Nazi psychology played a major role in the attrition that the Wehrmacht accepted upon itself.
