  1.  @CarlosGrassiprost  The world's largest land army which is the Russia Army total ailed to take even 1/5 of Ukraine that has a far less advanced army than Canada has. The time when big armies can easily take over neighbors is totally over. With modern technology and much larger populations, the power is on the defenders side always. Could the USA use military to take over Canada? No. No it could not. You cannot force 40 million people against their will to be subjugated and conquered and not expect a major major war on your hands. The USA would not be able to do so. And it would totally become exposed to China taking action knowing the USA is tied up, you cannot hand China an easier time to take military action. The USA would lose on all sides, possibly even get attacked by European countries, along with China and Canada, the USA would be totally out gunned and lose it's global legitimacy and leadership. It would be absolutely devastating to the US economy.

  4.  @turbo408  The percentages you listed 100% made up -Canada has NO tariffs on USA imports at all, not on cheese not on milk not on anything. In fact I travel from the USA to Canada a number of times a year and always find American milk and dairy products pretty normally like in BC you can find the American Dairy gold products from WA. So your entire comment about Canada having tariffs on the USA is false - totally without a question false. Canada does have incentives which support Canadian companies but the USA does the same like the EV tax credit for $7000 is only for EVs made in the USA that leaves car makers with avoiding to make EVs in Canada so the customer can get the tax credit - that is not fair to Canada.

The potatoes, onions, cornm fruit and veg grown in Idaho, Washington, Oregon all depends on natural gas for fertilizer and that all comes from Canada - so expect massive price hikes, inflation and shortages. My home in Idaho is heated with natural gas from Canada so myself will pay the price. I hope you understand what is at stake here, it's not Doug ford it's US-Canada cost of living

No, it will do that to both sides - Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington depend on natural gas from Canada to produce fertilizer for all the farming - we are talking most potatoes eaten in America depends on Canada, so is onions and most edible corn, huge percent of fruit and veg in the USA depends on Canada, also barley, lots of wheat and cattle. Expect HUGE price hikes and even shortages if farmers in Idaho can't get fertilizer it's game over. Some of the most impacted states will be Washington and Idaho - here in Idaho my home is heated by natural gas from Canada also our gasoline comes from Canada as Texas is very far away.

  27.  @Moke-vb6ck  Tariffs are not enough to even get close to repalcing income tax hat is never going to happen - the income from Tariffs is around 30 billion Dollars when the income tax brings in 4 trillion dollar that is 4,000 billion so no income tax is not changing - actually US income tax is automatically set to go up every single year for the next 40 years so you will see it rising - this is due to the rising cost of debt

A low skilled immigrant who will work farms, food processing, shops, truck drivers, bringing them in will lower the price of food and fuel and everything else. What matters is trade here - we in Idaho buy our natural gas from Canada because there is no other source in the North-West there just isn't any nat gas on our side so we import it. Expect much higher prices for food if Idaho, WA, Oregon suffer you will too. Fast food, store bought food, everything will get impacted if Natural gas prices rise and so does fertilizer. Just realize it.

It will require Canadian stores to see customers are stopping to buy USA goods and that the food is going bad on the shelf to finally make a change and reduce USA goods. Finally after enough time and change - American farmers and producers and financial markets will react.
