  2. Yes when the economy slows down like it is now the Government share rises but that is just technical as the economy speeds up again the Government share will fall dramatically. It is important to remember that the Role of the Government is like a Shock Absorber they dampen bad economic times or the down cycle so this is just natural force which is the same in all countries

  3. ​ @chrislastnam6822  Well there is more to that, the FED was paranoid about having enough Dollars to Gold fractions so they did not stimulate the economy as they should have and save the banks. That loss of faith in the system itself did terrible damage. It's funny that people cheer the Gold standard but fail to realize it was fractional the US never had 1-1 gold to dollars it was a fractional system
