There is a great book by British journalist Edward Behr with pretty damming evidence on Hirohito's involvement in the military actions if not worse. Regardless though, he did greatly help in post war Japan, if at least in limiting any civil unrest and leading to a smooth transition by reassuring the people. His actions post war show how a man can always change for the good.

ND7652 "white" is just skin color due to lack of sun as you go more to the north or south of the equator. It has nothing to do with politics, war or anything else. Don't be a racist.

@dougbourdo2589 The funny thing is that the fed is on your side, the fed is on the side of Americans like any central bank. They are on a constant battle with the Government on making sure the Government doesn't abuse their power and do terrible things like trigger financial chaos like so many other countries. Yes they have allot of money and power and yes they keep things secret but it is for our own good. They stand almost alone in a very hard battle every single minute to make sure our economy keeps going . The US is the destination of investment money from all over the world and that is allot of risk involved with that responsibility so you need a strong and independent organization like the Fed to fulfill that honor. If there would be one mistake the money will flee the US and probably send the country in to decades of financial trouble. The FED is really critical piece and auditing it could cause massive chaos which cant be allowed to happen if we want to keep living the way we do. Conspiracy believers just don't understand the implications of auditing an organization holding our economy country together and the more you learn that then are on your side the less sense that makes.

It's not neglected there is light rail always adding new stations, electric buses, dedicated lanes for buses and streetcars inside the city core here in Seattle so it is definitely not neglected. They have free garages at transit hubs in the suburbs and even inside the city so you can drive to it from your house and park for free for the day while you use buses or light rail and you pay with the same card for everything and it is pretty cheap. That said, almost everyone has a car and many have electric cars and it is usually less headache and cheaper to drive.

That saying was true only when the dollar was backed by gold but today the dollar is backed by the American people and the economy which is far better as it provide much more growth in money than gold ever could and also put the burden of value on the shoulders of Americans. If Americans mess up and then the value of the dollar will plummet. This is a great form of checks and balances.

Are you crazy?? This man tortured his own country men and killed them, hundreds of thousands of them. Only Hitler and Mao are worse.

He said in the video equivalent to 100 million dollars today.

Sorry to hear that, It is sad how many lives were destroyed.

Banks are always richer then the government in every country as they fund the entire economy. You want to open a new restaurant? You take a loan. You want to open a new technology company? You get loans and investments. The only place a government has more money than the banks is in North Korea or Zimbabwe

He started off as a victim looking for payback but ended up creating a Nazi spy ring... So yeah, is there any better way to destroy ones legacy? Yikes.

The reason his policies ultimately failed is that instead of promoting his state to attract higher paying industry and jobs to better the population, his policies ultimately did the opposite and scared companies away from opening in his state. Just this last year the city of Seattle where I live, passed laws that raises taxes on large firms in an effort to raise city income for social programs and as a result Amazon is moving their offices to a nearby suburb instead. The state has no income tax so I do see why they tried to do this as the only other option is to raise sales tax but regardless it simply scared away a major regional player out of the city and it will take other side jobs along like restaurants and even potentially lower home values in the city. Not a good thing overall.

Your knowledge is very poor. The Polish invaded a very small border area that Czechs had taken by force during war previously so the Polish saw it as taking back stolen territory. This happened while Germany captured the Sudeten lands and Poland saw the opportunity to take it back. There were only around 150 fatalities from the Polish action so it was very minor. However this was a tactical error as it gave Hitler an excuse to invade Poland which resulted in a lot more than just 150 casualties but 800,000 casualties so you really can't related these 2 events. Poland made a mistake but it was a minor border land grab overall but the German invasion of Poland had no reason and resulted in mass deaths with over 5 million killed mostly civilians and Jews who were murdered by Germany just becasue of their Race was not German Arian, it does not get much worse in terms of War Crime than that..

@MarkHarrison733 It was not a land grab the land was taken away from Poland in WW1 and they reclaimed the land but this is a very small piece of land just on the border and almost no people were impacted very few people were injured or killed. The German/Russian invasion of Poland killed some 70,000 people and heavily damaged many Polish cities. So it's a strange excuse.

This has nothing to do with the USA. The US is what 15% black and already had a black president while South Africa had like 90% black and had 0 blacks in any position of government at all. This is totally different world, nothing to even consider comparing.

Not true. The British Empire held out alone until Germany invaded the USSR but that occurred in the middle of 1941 so 2 years after the war started.
1
@MarkHarrison733 Greece entered in 1941 and also the USA in 1941, but the war started 2 years earlier in 1939 so the UK was alone for 2 years
