The thing is that Banks want what??? More customers. So they send out what I call the "WOLF" to chase the chickens in to the safety of the bank. Allot of retail investors sold out when the Japan carry trade thing cooked off and now here they show up to get some of that sweet sweet cash sitting outside of the market. Well that is my theory anyway.

@gordongekko2781 4% to 5% is Normal only if the country is balanced well. The USA has had 50 years of falling inflation due to outsourcing to Asia and aging population. With better medication and as the USA jobs turned to office work we just have way more people around then we would have and so with older people living longer there is a TON of money just locked away in savings/investing accounts and value of homes and the problem is that old people spend less money then young people = falling inflation. What the USA needs is #1 bring back industry, #2 more immigration to off set the lack of births and so many healthy old people who penny pinch. #3 raise tariffs to make goods people buy from outside the USA more expensive to stop money leaving out of the USA which lowers inflation too much.
