  1. The USA is the consumer so it can do more damage to China than the other way around. Any loss of trade to the USA means GDP expansion while for China it is GDP loss. Ultimately it is bad for both sides but worse for China. The best solution is diplomatic negotiations to find a way for stability and trade to be fair for both sides.
