  2. Chinese might own the house without a loan but that will not prevent a crash in the market. If I buy with cash a house and then the value falls and I sell it for a loss its still a crash loan or no loan. In fact having a loan might prevent a crash as there is long term penalty and punishment for failing to pay a loan.
