Yeah and also look at all the cash people moved from Savings and stocks in to CDs and Treasuries that cash will be on the move at some point when and if rates come down

The only time in the last like 30 years that prices in the USA went down on the year was 2009 which was one of the worst economic years in American history and the price decline or deflation for the year was only -0.3% yeah that's it (not a typo) -0.3% tiny tiny number. Prices normally only ever go up but as prices go up, new money or income from wages and work should also go up, not for everyone which is a problem, some people work in the same company for 20 years or even 30 years and in that case the salary tends to go up very slowly also Govnemrent handed out cash or socialist stuff that tends to go up very very slowly as taxes need to rise to pay for those handouts..... Anyway, the only thing we really can do is just get used to it and hope that the stuff that CAN go down like Food & Energy does indeed go down.... That is the hope and time will tell but don't expect to see $1 gas ever again in our life time that was a freak of nature during COVID as people stopped driving.
