Here in the North-West US and also BC Canada most of the energy is form Hydro I think like 3/4 which is why it is the cheapest area of US/Canada but selling electricity to California and other states raises our prices a bit. The price here before COVID was 0.08 cents for KW and as of right now it is 0.12 so it went up some. Most of the electricity is from Grand Coulee dam and all of the many other dams on the Columbia river.

@dennisenright9347 Excellent also here in WA state and Idaho, Oregon and BC of course mostly Hydro which is why electricity is nice and cheap out here. There are some wind farms too but I think off-shore wind farms will be cheaper then dragging these giant things up in to the mountains, that has to be expensive.
