No the USA wanted to make it public and clear that China cannot fly anything over the USA without requesting permission and China would do the same in return obviously. The USA set a new standard and these flights are no longer permitted. I think this will include Satellites as well as China and USA split apart. Trade will probably come to an end and at that point there is no incentive to continue cooperating on anything. I think the split will move faster and faster over the next few years.

There is no issue of "face" in the west so it does not matter. What ever someone in China does or says at the USA has 0 impact outside of China. This is why Wolf Warrior tactics are a failure because no one except Chinese people care about this at all. Face or honor or respect in the west is seen as something that is from the middle ages from the year 1500s and you can see this in plays and movies today making fun of hero's fighting over love and honor and glory, this is seen as old world in the west but in China it is normal way of life. THis just shows you the very large differences between China and the rest of the world.

If China wanted other countries to prosper why did China put down debts to Sri Lanka it could not afford? And why did China take over assets in Sri Lanka when they are already in bad shape? Dose not sound like wish for prosperity to me

The USA does not have 800 bases, it has around 30 but many are shared with the host country like in Saudi Arabia, Germany and UK the bases are shared with the host country but with the way China acts on the world stage with stupid primitive Wolf Warrior tactics Don't expect any country to want Chinse basis lol

No country has the right to send objects on to another's land area. The USA set a new standard and in the future this will include Satellites as well. The spilt between China and the USA will in the future end all trade and the Chinese economy will be free to collapse as it should have a long long time ago. If anything is a hot air balloon its the Chinese economy.

@philiplaw2072 That is funny you know why? Because if tomorrow there is war between China and the USA, China only loses from war. It's the USA that lost over the last 40 years industry, manufacturing, jobs, trade, to China due to competition from China. if war occurs between China and the USA then the USA automatically wins as trade ends and there is no more competition from China. The Chinese government wants China to become an advanced economy and that means selling goods to he west, airplanes, cars, ship, trains, technology and this disappears if there is war there is no loner anu competition for the USA and so the growth in the west and the USA would be incredible. China only loses from war so this issue about balloons is very funny becasue this is only good for the west as these events bring war closer and closer it is only negative for China.

Indeed soon trade will collapse as China and the west split apart and China will be able to close up like North Korea as Xi Jinping wants to achieve. China does not need the world and the world does not need China.

@sbkarajan The west can find other producers of goods it does not need China but if China wants to be an advanced economy and build airplanes and high end goods then China needs the west to buy from China. So China needs the west more than the west needs China. It's very simple. War would benefit the west which is why China is not going to go to war but if it did like Russia did then China would suffer the same results which is good for the west so that would be a mistake for China to do it would be letting the west win for no reason. This is why China has been more than happy to use wolf warrior tactics becasue China wants to bark and not bite. Taiwan issue I am sure can be solved diplomatically but China needs to threaten war for internal issues inside China so they will do both at the same time, threaten war for making Chinese people be more nationalistic so they support the CCP but on international levels they will use diplomacy only.

The USA is not an empire and never was, the USA has always had the idea of self determination and that is why China ignores this because the people of Taiwan have has their own self determination that they are not part of China. So to avoid this debate China calls the USA an empire but obviously the USA is not. Today there are no empires otherwise Japan and Korea and Germany would be US states right?

@stanl2005 Does the average American want war? Of course because war would only benefit the USA. The USA would isolate China from the world, manufacturing and industry would wake up from sleep in the west and allies of the west and no longer have economic competition from China. So every aspect is a big positive gain for the west. It's the west that sacrificed 40 years to China losing industry, trade, wealth, manufacturing, jobs to China so the west has a lot to gain from war. It's easy to look at the west and see liberal ideas and make a bad assumption that the west dose not want to fight wars but that would be a mistake as that is not true. The west has no problem risking war with Russia why would the west worry about China?

Its an object over US land area nothing else matters. You cant fly objects over major cities of your enemy country like that its an act of war. However trade between the USA and China will collapse and end soon anyway and then both countries will be free to seek out their own paths in to the future if that leads to war then so be it. War is just part of our human way of life. But you better be ready for it man.

@anonymous.369 You need to keep in mind that the west and the USA will benefit greatly and I have to say this, will benefit GREATLY if war occurs between USA and China. The USA would isolate China, end trade between China and the west would end, allowing industry and manufacturing to return to the west and other countries that are allies of the west. So war is very bad for China on every level, there is 0 benefit to China from war. China cannot benefit from war. So the idea that Blinken said this or that, or whatever bullshit is taking place means nothing. It's insignificant and this only bring China and the west closer to war which is only good for the west so China is causing itself harm by acting the way it acts today. If I was the USA I would cut all relations because there is no need for any. China cannot start a war and so the west is just wasting time for no reason. Blinken can do many other more important things than spend time on relations with China.

You see that does not matter at all because at the end of the day relations are ending soon anyway so there is no limitation on anything really during war time all actions and movements of one nation on the other are hostile only .

I dont think the USA is terrified but I think it woke up to a new threat from China and will now prepare for war with China on a new front. As we move in to the future China and the west will split apart more and more as trade ends and relations collapse. The future war is being prepared for now on all sides and so the future conflict and war is something we all need to prepare for on all sides.
