@bigfish92672 Almost had the nuke first = almost won. You wouldn't need to invade Russia and try to capture and hold Moscow with ground troops if it was simply wiped off the map from Germany itself (Hitler made a few foolish decisions, invading Russia with winter approaching was one of them, but everyone was afraid to question or criticize him or offer alternate suggestions). A few nuclear warheads on the noses of V-3 rockets ( a longer range version of the V-2, 200 miles not quite enough) would have been sufficient to do that, but probably the first gen ones would have been too bulky and would have been dropped from cargo planes (more risky).

@bigfish92672 And you know that how? Are you a time- or alternate-history traveler or something and witnessed it first hand? I don't trust history books from one source (ie the US gov't and allies) all that much, it's written by the victors after all. Maybe the Axis would have won if they wrote exceptions in the laws for scientists (and their gf's) contributing to the war effort. Until backwards time travel/multiverse-traveling is a thing we can't know for sure.
