  2. I wouldn't recommend Canada because of all the added taxes they impose on foreigners which are usually 15% or 20% in British Columbia on the top of the purchase price of the property. Then, you will have to pay every year an additional 1% on the assessed value of the property if it's not rented for the full year. No need to mention that while people have been paying for 17 months without being able to enjoy their properties since the country is closed to foreigners. Bottom line : try somewhere else or you wind up losing money.
