  2. I kind of understand them. They know better. Unfortunately, all those propaganda videos make you think, Portugal is the best place to be but there are a lot of problems that newcomers cannot overcome, unfortunately.

  3. True for cashiers at supermarkets, hairdressers and some of the administration centers such as public health centers. Very hard to understand the Portuguese accent compared to the Brazilian one, which is much softer and pleasant.

  4. Very bad advice. Why would a foreigner move to a boring secluded area that has no service, no infrastructure, no public transportation and nothing to do ? Lisbon has more to offer and people who speak a little English at least. Forget about small villages....

  5. The problem with the food here, is that it's always the same boring food, true. I tried the kebab or Indian places for a change but it was very greasy and disgusting. I won't return. So you are basically stuck with 'frango' or 'bacalhau'.... I am sick of it.

  6. Even in Lisbon, everything is extremely slow... There is a line for everything especially at the supermarkets. I can't take it anymore. Stupid to wait for everything. Portuguese employees are extremely slow in general. They don't know how to perform repetitive tasks fast. Annoying....

  7. I had to wait so long at the restaurant that I left. Lol. That's why I prefer a buffet so you can help yourself! Also you can only eat at noon sharp. They won't serve you before. They don't want to adapt to the modern way of life.
