  9. I am one of them ! With all the lack of freedom, all those restrictions, bans, taxes, lack of affordability of basic goods, Canada is not what it's used to be. I can't wait to disconnect completely with this country....and find a better one, much friendlier to foreigners and new comers. Have you seen that poor Indian international student who just got shot a few days ago at Sherbourne station ? So sad, he was just looking for a better life and it's life ending up in a coffin ! Time to leave that country.

Instead of being so xenophobic and obsessed about increasing the vacancy tax to 3% on their property assessed value, to those poor foreigners who obviously can't stay in the country all year long and use it as a second residence, just like everybody else in the world, why doesn't she tax the real CANADIAN SPECULATORS who collect condos and properties and buy them to resale them hundreds of thousands dollars more the following year or a couple of years later ? That would definitely bring more revenues to the city. Why don't politicians tax Canadians on their principal residence if they own it for less than 3 years at 50% tax rate on the capital gain ? Because that's pure speculation, nothing else. Canadians are the ones who have destroyed the real estate market, not foreigners. I really don't understand this hate towards foreigners who just want to enjoy being in Canada when they can. Hopefully, the world will retaliate and tax Canadians when they buy properties abroad so they will know how it feels to be discriminated like Canadian politicians do. Banning foreigners from Canadian real estate market is not the answer to all the problems created by Canadians themselves and especially politicians !!! Anyway I hope Canadians won't complain when they see their economy dying just like their real estate market because with such bad karma, that's all they deserve ! Once you have created such a bad reputation for yourself, there is no coming back.

  23. Yes Canada always makes it so hard for people who want to obtain a work permit even though they are fully trained and experienced. They constantly change the rules, plenty of red tape and numerous problems at all levels. So their shortage problems are strictly caused by them. They are plenty of qualified employees that they regularly reject on a daily basis and they the government cries 'we don't have enough workers'. Well, it's your dam fault ! At the end of the day, well is it worth it ? My answer is no without hesitation.

  40. Valid PR status ? Why only to Indians and not other international students ? That's not fair. Immigrations scams are not only affecting people from India but from all over the world. Why don't you take away all the licenses from immigration firms in Canada and the supposedly consultants who lie and promise you anything and take your money to tell you in the end that your case is rejected. Why should indians have a special status ? Those immigration firms are totally useless and 90% are a scam anyway.
