That's just like the fake story created by the government of Canada, about foreign buyers being responsible for the housing crises in Canada and then banning them (under that myth)from buying a property in the second largest country in the world when there was no substantial evidence about it. The reality was that only between 3 to 5% of buyers where foreigners who just wanted a second residence outside their home country. The true speculators are Canadians but so easy to blame foreigners since they can't vote. And also taxing them to the maximum so they understand that they are not welcome in Canada. So sad but true. On the other hand, Canadians are Free to buy properties anywhere in the world because other governments don't retaliate and let themselves stepped over them.
