The biggest scam done by canadians including Trudeau was that all those people blamed foreign buyers and pretended that it was their fault for the lack of supply and not those Canadians' you are talking about. That's the real hypocrisy and myth that Canada has done. And the result is here, the market is screwed because of the bad karma Canada has brought upon itself. And that's also why everything is going downhill in that beautiful country that used to be great at one point. Now, it's just boring with a bad ecconomy, a worthless currency and high prices. Well. all those negative impacts could have been avoided with the correct government policy. It shoud have started by applying more taxes to those old Canadians and realtors who collect properties. After the second one, just tax them so they would have limited their impact for the younger generations... But I guess it was easier for the government to just blame foreign buyers for everything.

  2. True and sad. Instead it was easier for those canadians to blame foreign buyers who represented only 2 to 3% of the market and just wanted a second residence for a long time, not speculate or anything like that.
