  2. @ I have been to China. Multiple times I have I have had my pocket picked in China. If you understood what economic development was, you wouldn’t say that . China is a middle income country, unlike most countries in the west. Hong Kong and Macau are high income.

  3. @ GDP PPP is larger . Huge number of modest income people. Several times in China and Hong Kong. Get over it. It will be interesting to see if China escapes the middle income trap.
