@MP-ut6eb capitalism has made the average person in the United States wealthier than the kings of old as far as their standard of living is concerned

@MP-ut6eb I don’t think you are truly familiar with Chile. I have a lifelong friend who was married to a member of the Allende government and had friends murder by the Army. I have been in Cuba and stayed in the home of a Cuban doctor. She was ordered to go to Venezuela to provide services. By the way, services are customarily sold to the receiving country .She declined to go to Venezuela because she had a mother with Alzheimer’s disease. to punisher herThey posted her several miles from Havana where her mother lived. She stop being a doctor. I don’t think we live on the same planet as far as life experience or education is concerned . It would be very nice to have a long talk over several cups of coffee but it’s just too tall a mountain for me to climb in this venue. May you find happiness. By the way, I am keenly aware of the deficits of capitalism and the imperialism of the United States of America, where I reside as a dual citizen.

@MP-ut6eb that’s a hard argument to make. If you look at the experience in China prior to the introduction of capitalism and the horrors that were Russia consumer life prior to capitalism, it makes capitalism and the market mechanisms seem a very efficient provider of goods that people want. Is it excessive, do we need 30 different 40 different kinds of breakfast cereal? probably not. However, the alternative to date has been waiting three hours online to buy your ration of one cereal that may be out of stock.

@MP-ut6eb it was the accumulation of capital that allowed for industrial revolution. Machines don’t suddenly materialize, markets don’t suddenly materialize. The Soviet union had wonderful scientists, and had many accomplishments however, they were never able to both provide a good standard of living for their people and participate in an arms race with the United States . Life in Russia where “the people pretend to work in the government pretends to pay them. “was nowhere near the standard of living in the capital is USA unregulated capitalism does not divide the pie well. However, it is the most efficient way to grow the pie that we have seen in the world to date. Those countries using the Nordic model, i.e., the happiest countries in the world use the system of welfare capitalism. It wasn’t communism that raised the hundreds of millions of people in China at a poverty it was the wealth provided by capitalism

@MP-ut6eb let us start by talking about a successful socialist country. Which would you like?

@MP-ut6eb I don’t understand the question?

@MP-ut6eb the problem in the capitalist countries has been over production of farm goods add overly low prices. The collective farms that were experimented with an China, and in Russia, resulted in the starvation of millions.
