  1. I’m a professional graphic designer with 20 years use of photoshop. The alphabet truck picture is a fake although a funny one. They used a distressed hand written style font to make it look hand painted. The clues that give it away 1) the inscription on the front and back truck are completely identical, with a bit of blur effect added to the back one in order to resemble aerial perspective. 2) The white of the letters is too white. It should have a tint like the white letters of the truck license plate or that red-white reflective patch. Because somebody could argue that the white there could be too fresh there is the application method problem. These inscriptions could be applied by 1) Being hand written. But it’s impossible to create the exact identical characters and on top of that the natural brush marks for both trucks. 2) Being stencil sprayed on. In this case you would have a different choice of font because this one with the distressed marks is a nightmare to cut out and make a stencil of it. 3) Being vinyl sticker machine cut out letters, transferred on the truck. The problem with that is that the trucks would have to be thoroughly washed and polished in order to be able to stick them on. I doubt the Russian military has time for this kind of jokes. If they used a chunkier standard text font (not a display one) and dropped the opacity of the layer by 5-10% or tint the characters in a cool almost white gray, they would have sold it.
