@DAS1337 Ukraine never had sovereignty anyway. They were always under the control of somebody, Poland, Russia, USSR, mafia/oligarchs.

@wade2112 well, you helped to free over 500000 Ukrainians from the troubles of life, you must feel good with yourself.

@richardsanders.4624 Have you ever been in Ukraine?

@boo2457 A Russian speaking Ukrainian comedian, not even the most famous one, managed to have 4x the money of Tom Cruise. Im sure nothing shady was going on.....

You forgot the most important question. What is ISIS and who created it?

Its amazing, one day we will talk about the US role in the Russo-Ukrainian war in the same casual manner we talk about the Tonkin Golf Incident or the non existing WMD of Iraq, and everybody will pretend that they knew the truth all along....
2
@uv77mc85 And then Putin he wont stop until he conquers Spain. He will set up his HQ under the Vesuvius volcano and threaten the world with a Moon based laser gun.

I dont think that they will live much longer

There is a fact that many people in EU and US do not understand unless they have actually been in Ukraine. The Russian speaking Ukrainians is not some kind of fringe minority group counting in a few thousands. Its a HUGE part of the population. In fact everybody over 40 years old speaks Russian fluently and in the eastern part of the country most people doesnt even speak Ukrainian AT ALL in their everyday life. To drive this into your mind, Zelensky himself had to take Ukrainian language lessons after becoming president. Those pauses he does when he speaks Ukrainian publicly without a teleprompter, are not dramatic. He is trying to find the words in a language that he doesnt speak fluently. Im sure that behind closed doors he speaks Russian. The Russian language was targeted by the ultra-nationalists that wanted to break all the cultural bonds with Russia. They are trying to engineer a 19th century ethnostate on the remnants of two multi-ethnic Empires (Russian Empire-USSR) that used to move people around constantly. How is this going to work? It cant unless you enforce it with an iron grip and thats what they tried to do. Now imagine all those middle aged people who were born in USSR and speak Russian, having to deal with their own Ukrainian state in a language that they are not fluent. Imagine having to take a bank loan with terms in Ukrainian. Or have a legal case. They are forced to pay for translation IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY!! This is insane and nobody realizes that's its those small things that tip people over the edge and entrench them!

@ivydark9741 Greece was the only occupied country that didn't raise SS battalions. It was also the only occupied country that held a big demonstration against this German practice, under the threat of everybody being shot.

@halocemagnum8351 Well it would be nice to hold hands and sing ‘’we are the world’s but 1) this is the real world 2) it’s very convenient to expect from the OTHERS to be moral after you rampantly F’ed up half of the globe. It doesn’t work like that. Also it’s not about choosing an ally ‘’you don’t like’’ that’s a super naive interpretation of the actual ‘’becoming the springboard of an adversary that plans to break up your country and steal your resources for pennies’’. As I said Russia is in a lose lose situation, even after the inevitable victory, they have been forced to fight literally their family, right at their front yard, only to maintain the previous status quo. They lost the revenue from EU God knows for how many years, EU lost its cheap energy deals that kept it floating and forced to buy American super expensive gas or smuggled Russian oil at jacked up prices. In the end the only one who wins is the perpetrator of this war. The US.

@ClownCarCoup NATO is used by the US in the same way that the Delian League was used by the Athenians. Many eastern European countries who want closer ties with the west and US mainly for financial reasons, consider their NATO membership as a kind of a seal of approval. It was the exact same thing during the 50's in southern Europe. What is important to ote is that the neophyte countries were always obligated to send troops to fight in a war that US had interests in. For my country that war was Korea. For Poland and the rest ex-Warsaw Pact countries it was Iraq and Afghanistan. Its like an admitance fee to the club, payed in blood.

@PACABear Nice word playing. I guess you are referring to offers that you cannot refuse, as strong suggestions and not blackmail.
1
@PACABear Political pressure exists anyway but governments still need to justify to their people that they will have to send troops and receive back body bags, for a conflict that is not their business. NATO membership aka the cool club, gives a justification. The majority of the NATO members had to bend backwards before securing their membership. I don’t understand what you are arguing here.
1
@ClownCarCoup I have a question. In what way playing dumb, promotes this discussion? Because I don’t have time for fake legalisms. I guess if a mafia boss comes into your business and says ‘’nice shop, it would be a pity if something happened to it’’ you literally believe that he sincerely worries about the possibility of a random catastrophe. France is the biggest country in the continent, with a big military and was given the appropriate courtesies. You don’t have to be super clever to understand that, nevertheless France sent a frigate and over 3000 troops, so maybe you want to use another example, since you are giving so much attention to semantics.

@KceeKit I understand that in US the crazy protestant offshoots you got there, like to call themselves ''Christians'' as if they are the only ones, but in the broader Christian world they are considered pretty much a bunch of heretics. The fixation they have with the Old Testimony is not met in the Catholic or the Orthodox (which is the closest to the original church) churches.

@YouTubeHandle42069 Generally I would agree with you but imo Russia was out of options. The media try to personify this conflict as ''mad Putin's war'' the truth is that any Russian President who was not a complete sell out, he would have done the same. If they didnt fight Ukraine now, they would have to do it in 20 years in less favorable terms for Russia. Ukraine was propped up a bridgehead towards the dissolution of Russian Federation in small chunks that would be turned on each other's throat and then bought off for pennies. The tragic irony is that Putin's soft approach during the initial stage of the war, eventually led to a long drawn conflict, helped the Kievan regime to sell the narrative of possible victory leading to tremendous amounts of casualties. Ukraine for the bigger part of this war was a country with working transportation, electrical grid and internet even in the first line. I dont think that there is a similar example from history. Usually the infrastructure is the first thing that goes.

errrrr... your country created the problem and then dragged everybody in. You are the only ones making profit out of this

@frankvonfrauner you mean he managed to divert several billions back to the Democratic party, Biden's accounts and his family accounts

I see many people here praising Robby's reaction. Actually Robby is an example of what to avoid to do. Robby is the kind of guy that allows people to treat him like a door mat. He will just sit there and take it seemingly calmly instead of addressing the matter right there and with the right proportion of force, which actually can extremely minimal and get the point across without creating an uncomfortable situation. Instead he just adds probably months and months of frustration and have an emotional explosion. Most of the times this explosion will happen over a trivial matter or even a matter where the other party is actually on the right and the final result is coming off like a crazy person. Dont be like Robby. Be a man and set your boundaries right at the first moment there is an infringement upon them. If you get the point across it will only take a stern look to get things back on track.

@joecater894 Since you called for the use of logic. If Russia wanted to escalate, a SECOND raid in Belgorod and daily shelling with numerous civilian victims would be enough provocation for escalation. In fact Russia kinda push that situation ''under the rug'', risking looking like fools daily, exactly because they dont want escalation that would probably bring NATO directly in. Ukraine has already committed several assassinations of targets that are basically small fries. If they went after military officers or even Putin I could understand it, but they keep hitting small time bloggers or targets like Dugin's kid. Logically speaking maybe we expect too much from a country that is controlled basically by ultra right fanatics, ex hooligan paramilitary groups, and a swarm of foreign secret services. Or spending extremely valuable handed over A class ammunition just to hit downtown Donetsk and remind the locals that ''we can still reach you'' after the fall of Avdiivka that was the main artillery base that pounded Donetsk for the past 10 years. Or having their troops surrounded and wasted time after time, forced to do last moment costly retreats exclusively for PR reasons instead of conserving their forces. Explain that with logic to me please.

Im sure the Ukronazis will have some in their back pocket

@burns281981 the USSR actually was far more successful in Afghanistan than the US escapade, until the point when US started funding and arming with Stingers the local religious fanatics and we all saw how well that went in the future... The US failed completely leaving behind arms enough to arm 10 countries, abandoning personnel and local associates, facing flip flop wearing cave dwellers without any superpower behind them. Are you sure that you wanna lecture people on history?
1
@burns281981 I agree it would be interesting to read for a change

Robby seems to not oppose interviewing Putin as long as he ends up looking ridiculous in the end. What I would like to see from Tucker is an interview where he would ask all the hard questions, but also giving the proper time and space for an adequate answer. And then if necessary follow up with more clarifying questions. Probably baby Robby would call this a softball interview, the proper kind of interview according to him and his bosses, would be to ask questions that need about 2 hours of historical context to answer but allow for 5 seconds and then abruptly cut the answer, ask another statement/question only to say in the end ''Im sorry we dont have any more time''.

@Whatisupwiththat100 your troops got bombed in Miami or New York I suppose....

What do you think could happen to Tucker or his crew in Russia?
1
@halocemagnum8351 The Russians invaded juast as you would have invaded if China was setting up a hostile regime in Canada and placed missile launchers all over targeting US. Its 101 geopolitics. The Russians have nothing to gain practically from this mess, if they could avoid it they would.

@wade2112 ''Regardless of whether or not Ukraine makes any gains, this whole war is a major victory for the West. We've given less than 10% of what NATO spends on military in a year over the course of 18 months, and Ukraine has destroyed over 5k Russian tanks, 300k Russian troops, and an insane amount of officers'' And dont forget to mention those shot down Dragons... Jesus Christ... I hope you are not voting
