  1. "Our children are very much affected" sounds *completely contrary* to what we have been told about COVID up to now. In the middle of summer? School's out? Wut? Are kids affected by COVID or other things, like the respiratory syncytial virus or bacterial infections due to mask wearing? I hear that clinics are overwhelmed with sick kids around here in the middle of Yurop, but not with COVID, but with RSV.

  2. Japan must be the living proof that mask may shave a few points off R but arent "working" in any sense of the word. Maybe it works for influenza.

  3. Interesting lecture by our french colleagues from IDU Méditerrannée Infection for those who speak french: "Les vaccins et le confinement sont-ils efficaces?" (right here on MiniTrueTube but I can't post links) Among others, vaccination status has no effect on infectiosity. There is an inofficial message that vaccination is not the Hollywooding end-of-movie solution but that early management of people who have COVID is the most important thing.
