These "rules of robotics" were fun when Asimov used them to set up storylines, but nowadays they feel as realistic as a Tesla car reflecting on what to choose between "two grannies" or "one toddler" while wildly careening off the street.

@eyespy3001 The delusion of middle management of the early 21st: "I don't need to know anything but you are the problem"

Imagine if it just went to hide in the Large Magellanic Cloud.

Yes it was great (2009... really?), it was also anti-woke. (Steve Sailer in "Elysium: Neill Blomkamp Fools the Critics Again", can't say more because YT has sicced a personal little Indian on me checking what I write)

I remember SAL 9000 from "2010" which was female-personalled

Yes it was (2009... really?), it was also anti-woke. Steve Sailer in "Elysium: Neill Blomkamp Fools the Critics Again": Blomkamp’s 2009 Best Picture-nominated District 9, in which the black residents of his native Johannesburg demand that their black-run government clear out millions of feckless illegal space aliens, was universally praised by American critics as an apartheid allegory. Yet Blomkamp has relentlessly insisted in interviews that it’s really about “the collapse of Zimbabwe and the flood of illegal immigrants into South Africa, and then how you have impoverished black South Africans in conflict with the immigrants.”

@Ungood-jl5ep Reminder that Kamala is officially the "AI Czar" of the USA

@HackCausality That's because they are space battles. But the earthside battle looks like robots on astroturf.

One would have thought they could throw "AI" at the CGI to randomly improve it (which is already done in graphics cards to fill in pixels that could not be computed by the time the next frame has to be moved to the output buffer)

I reckon Harlan is named after Harlan Ellison for the evil Godlike AI in his "I have no mouth and I must scream" (a macabre "Exodus"). But this review lighted the desire to re-watch the bad Emmerich movie "Moon 44" (not to be confused with "Moon 66") from 1990 in which Commodore Amiga gear was used to do wire-frame CGI. It's true!

In "Schismatrix", the solar system is large enough to hide all sort of stuff in it.
