  1. The Soviet Union and later Russia have a long tradition of "bumping into things" that are sniffing around the Black Sea and perceived as too passive-aggressive, be they from US or UK. In this case, the owner of the drone can be reasonably seen as a belligerent who is faking it, so off it goes. So far, of course, GlobalHwaks, AWACS, spy sats and StarLink have been left alone. The GlobalHawks may be next.
