I have just looked up WaPo on this meeting and it writes among other: "In Ukraine, many observers — even Zelensky’s supporters — were nervous about the meeting at a moment when prominent Republicans in Washington have seized on the false conspiracy theory that Ukraine, not Russia, interfered in the 2016 presidential election." Well, turns out Ukraine DID so by very publicly slandering Manafort, Trump's campaign manager, as involved in corrupt Russian dealings, on very thin grounds. And that's even before boring into the Biden affair. Meanwhile, there is still no info about that fabled Russian interference in 2016 which needs to be fluffed up any media looking at its as being "significant but hard to measure".
