  4. I have two degrees, but choose to work gig jobs. People judge me and think I’m crazy for doing it, but I don’t care what anyone thinks. I love being able to make my own schedule and take days off whenever I need to. I love the freedom that comes with that. I deal with anxiety and PTSD, so sometimes I need a “mental health break” for a day to two. Not having to ask permission for that or explain my PERSONAL struggles to a boss that doesn’t really give a shit about me…..priceless. I’m hoping to start my vanlife journey relatively soon, and you give me so much inspiration. Thank you for being open and honest with us, and for keeping it REAL. Safe and happy travels, my friend!

  7. I have found that taking a shower and going to the potty is so very overrated. It's very easy to get completely clean in a very small space. Blow up kiddy pool makes it very easy to bath in my Nissan NV200. I have also used a shower tent. Going potty you can use a wide mouth plastic jar for #1 and the 5 gallon bucket for #2. Dispose ASAP. Easy Peasy. ✌🏻✌🏻

  16. I was born and raised in Santa Cruz, I’ve lived in Capitola my whole life, and as most kids I took it for granted. As I’ve gotten older I’ve realized that Santa Cruz is an incredibly special place and every time I leave, wether it’s for a day or for months, I’m always reminded of how beautiful this place is and how lucky I was to able to grow up here, and it’s been pretty heartbreaking to see parts of the town that have been there since I was a kid get destroyed due to the recent weather.

One thing I really appreciate with your channel is your consistency & authenticity in mindful and intentional living. This one quality of knowing yourself intimately and being true to self is so key to enjoying the nomadic life fully. Another quality that helps is adaptability; the ability to flow with the circumstances. You embody all these qualities and more. I like your comment about not passing your old mattress off to some one ..I use to work in a thrift shop and people would try and donate stuff with rat crap ,or super dirty and we would say "we cant take this ' and they would say "poor people would love it " No poor people dont want nasty dirty stuff ,just like any other person

  43. Twenty Five years ago I dreamed that I'd be sitting in my van somewhere awesome, sunny, and relaxing after a ymmy breakfast of oatmeal myself. You know where I am? Sitting in my van in the Arizona after a yummy breakfast of oatmeal! I'm a lucky woman. Been living in my van now for 4 years and love it so much!

I’m so sorry you have been exposed to people suggesting you have some sort of psychological problems, the problems are in fact all theirs. I haven’t had a great 2024 but watching your videos has helped me get through it and your calm, considered approach is the key.   49. I use the wave 6 in my rig and love it. I live in a 12ft trailer and once the heater is warmed up and running I never have to go over the low setting. The heat is cozy and the subtle glow of the catalytic rug i find to be nice ambiance in the dark. The best part of these heaters is the fact it takes no power and sips on propane
